For nearly a decade, M&P Excavating has operated as a small excavation business in Deer Lodge, Montana.  Since the very beginning, when we operated with a single dump truck and excavator, our mission has been to go the extra mile for our customers. As our company has grown, our determination to exceed our customers’ expectations has grown with it. Our Work

Racetrack Creek Irrigation Diversion

The project was a joint effort between the land owner and Conservation District  to provide fish passage at low flows while still providing water for irrigation on Racetrack Cr.

Dry Cottonwood Bridge and Road Project

A 40ft pre-fabricated steel bridge was installed across Dry Cottonwood Creek where a mile of new road was constructed to provide year round access to the property.

Kohrs Manning Flume Project

The old wooden flume that carries irrigation water from the Clark Fork River over Johnson Creek for the Kohrs Manning Ditch Company had exceeded its life expectancy and was in need of replacement.   Since the old flume is located on the Grant Kohrs National Historical Site the new flume had to be a mirror image of old flume.

Mill Creek Road and Bridge Project

Project consisted of reconstruction 1 mile of road to access the bridge site where a timber bridge was constructed in place to span the 27 ft Mill Cr channel. Once on the other side of Mill cr another mile of new road was constructed to provide access to upper portion of the property.

Bridge At Rock Creek

A new 50 ft steel bridge was installed to replace the old and failing wood bridge.   The bridge allows access to Rock cr lake and National Forest Land

Beal Mtn Mine Site

Project was to install 1,700 of 6’’ HDPE pipe with 5 pressure reducing station for the Forest Service at the abandon Beal Mtn Gold Mine Site to improve water quality on German Gulch Creek.

 

Round Grove Ranch Bridge

A repurposed railroad flat car was installed over and irrigation cannel to allow access of farm equipment in the Townsend Valley .

Deer Lodge Sewer Lagoon Bypass Project

Project consisted of installing 800 LF of 18” pipe to bypass cell 3 and 4 at the current waste water lagoon to allow for the construction of a new Waste Water Treatment Facility.

Grant Kohrs Bank Stabilization Project

Rip rap was installed on the bank of the Clark fork River to help to with erosion on the Grant Kohrs National Historic site.
